Walt Freese has served as the CEO, or President of three iconic businesses that have each played an important role in transforming our Food System: Celestial Seasonings, Ben & Jerry’s and Stonyfield Farm. He became CEO of Teton Waters Ranch this year, based on his belief that transforming the Industrial Beef Industry through Regenerative Agricultural Practices with Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished Beef, would have a bigger impact on environmental restoration, animal welfare and human health than anything else he could do.
Walt’s leadership of socially responsible businesses has been well documented. Ben & Jerry’s was repeatedly named “the most admired company for socially responsibility in the world” throughout Walt’s tenure as CEO. As CEO of Stonyfield Farm, the company received the award for being the “Most Ethical Company in the World” by Business Ethics magazine.
Walt joined Teton Waters Ranch in April 2017 and looks forward to leading the company and its fantastic team to be the #1 brand of Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished Beef in the USA and a shining example of Regenerative Agriculture everywhere.
