Regenerative Earth Summit
Food + Climate + Culture

“The answer…is dirt, the question is irrelevant.” Attributed to Stephanie Jo Kent

The Regenerative Earth Summit: Food + Climate + Culture is about the ground we walk on and the planet we call home. It is an invitation to the organic, non-GMO and emergent regenerative agriculture movements, the soil carbon sequestration community and the local food movement. Together, we can create a positive revolution in how humans work together to bring healthy, nutritious foods to our communities, work collaboratively with earth’s life support systems to sequester carbon and learn how to share one planet with millions of other species.

Regeneration
re·gen·er·a·tion  rəˌjenəˈrāSH(ə)n/

Regeneration is the process of renewal, and restoration that makes life and ecosystems resilient to natural fluctuations or events that cause disturbance or damage. Regenerative concepts take sustainability to the next level, moving from ‘doing less bad’ to actually ‘doing good’ for people and planet.

A beautiful red barn and farm on the plains. The rolling Palouse region of eastern Washington is one of the most fertile agricultural regions in the world. Here a golden wheat field and idyllic red barn are the subjects. This rolling landscape is ideal for photography and the region is dotted with turn-of-the-century homesteads and farms. This is harvest time on the Palouse, one of the prettiest times to visit. This location is near Colfax.

Why The Summit

Beneath our feet is a complex web of life. This skin of our planet is vital to our shared well-being. Humanity is at a crossroads. Shall we remain on the current trajectory? Or might we venture toward a new path? Are we willing to muster the tenacity and courage to collaborate across sectors?

We think the answer is YES! At the Regenerative Earth Summit, we will co-create an ecosystem of peers across multiple disciplines. Together, we’ll work to discover and devise how we can meaningfully collaborate in service to our shared vision of a vibrant, regenerative and health affirming food system world-wide that nourishes our communities, protects our natural resources and mitigates the effects of climate change.

If not us, who? If not now, when?

Who’s Coming

At the Epicenter is bringing visionary farmers, ranchers, entrepreneurs, activists, academics, business and nonprofit leadership together to deep dive with participants in a Summit experience designed for the robust flow of ideas, a shared sense of opportunity, and the fostering of collaborative relationships.

If you are bold, curious, open-hearted and would like to be part of a catalyst for worldwide change — this event welcomes YOU.

Who’s Coming

The Summit is an exploration of cutting edge thinking and actions, bringing together thought leaders from academia, business, finance and government. We are building an environment for strategic thinking to design the paths to a new economy in service to life. One that restores our eco-systems, creates prosperity for the many and is regenerative at its heart. YOU are part of this journey and the Summit is the place where the journey begins.
